This very rare example is copying the designs which were made in porcelain in Worcester during the second half of the 18th century ( an example is shown). This piece is cast and is modelled as a leaf and is decorated on the sides with leaf capping and the handle is modelled as a branch. The base displays a raying double rose head and the interior is palely gilded. This piece is of the finest quality, as would be expected by the Royal silversmiths and Crown jewellers, Garrard's, and the maker's mark has a crown above, denoting their Royal status. This is the first time we have seen this design in silver, which leads us to believe that it may have been a special commission. The creamboat is very well marked on the side and is in excellent condition. The images do not convey fully its very special nature.
Length: 3 inches, 7.5 cm.
Width: 2.15 inches, 5.38 cm.
Height, to the top of the handle: 1.5 inches, 3.75 cm
