The Salver stands on four cast panel feet with a scroll end and reeded border. This example is oval in form and has a raised rim also decorated with reeding. The Salver is of a good large size, to be useful for a variety of things and is very well marked on the reverse. Elizabeth Jones was the widow of Robert Jones and was a specialist Tray and Salver maker, of fine quality.
