The Tea Caddy is oval in form and is engraved on the main body wit two bands of oval bright cut motifs containing crosses. The front of the Caddy is engraved with an oval cartouche containing a contemporary Crest. The hinged cover is engraved with an identical bright cut band, as seen on the main body, and in addition displays a cast floral finial, most probably simulating a sprig from a tea plant. This example is in excellecnt condition and is fully marked on the base and with the sterling mark on the cover.
