The Basket stands on an oval pedestal foot which is decorated with applied beading, as is the rim and arched swing handle. The Boat shaped main body is pierced with an unusual band of ovals interspersed with stylised foliate motifs. The lower section is engraved with attractive drapery garlands. The basket has a blue glass liner and is very well marked in the foot.
