The Sifter is silver gilt and is modelled in the King's pattern, which is double struck, the pattern being on both the front and the reverse of the stem. The stem is engraved with the Royal Insignia, the Crest of England, surrounded by the Motto of the Order of the Garter, all surmounted by the Crown of the Sovereign, as used by King George IV. The bowl is pierced with crosses and roundels and is well marked. This piece is in quite excellent condition and is also stamped with a journeyman's mark which will identify the individual within the workshop who made this piece.Length: 6.4 inches, 16cm.Diameter of the bowl: 1.9 inches, 4.75cm.
