The Marrow Scoop is plain in design but displays a very unusual twisted central section, a form of decoration which was mostly peculiar to Scotland. The reverse of one end is engraved with a set of contemporary script initials and this example is marked with the makers mark and duty mark. This is the first time we have seen a marrow scoop of this design.
Length: 9.6 inches, 24cm.
