The Basket stands on a stepped circular pedestal foot which is decorated with beading and engraved with a herring bone band. The vase shaped main body, and arched swing handle, are also decorated with applied beading. The main body is unusually decorated with foliate and prick dot garlands tied with ribbons and Neo-Classical medallions. The section under the rim is also engraved with a beautiful eclectic mix of bright cut designs. Both the front and the reverse display a vacant bright cut oval cartouche. This piece is in excellent condition and is fully marked in the foot.
