A rare George III Punch Ladle made in London in 1788 by Hester Bateman

The Punch Ladle has an oval bowl which is decorated with beading around the rim. The silver section of the handle is engraved with bright cutting and the handle is attached to the bowl with a tri-furcated moulding. This example displays a twisted whalebone handle and the reverse of silver section of the handle is engraved with a set of contemporary initials.
