The Snuff Box is of an unusual smaller size and was most probably for the use of a Lady. The sides and base are plain in design and the cover is inset with a beautiful panel of bloodstone agate. This piece has a particularly beautiful cast thumbpiece decorated with scrolls, shells and foliate motifs. The interior is very well marked and displays original gilding. A beautiful, quality piece.
