The Snuff Box is oval in form and was most probably made in London. The sides are made of silver and the base is inset with a plain panel of mother of pearl. The hinged cover is also inset with mother of pearl which is unusually engraved with a swan on a lake, with reeds in the background and a Classical house by the side of the lake. The box is in excellent condition.
