This example is one of the earliest caddy spoons which one could expect to find. The handle is beautifully cast and pierced and displays feather edge borders. The deep, fluted, bowl is beautifully decorated with unusual stylised floral sprays. The Spoon is in excellent condition and is very unusual having the decorated bowl at this date. The handle is marked with the maker's mark and sterling mark. A similar handle can be seen in the early caddy spoon section of "Caddy Spoons" by Captain John Norie, Plate 2, Figure b.
Length: 3.25 inches, 8.13cm.
Width of the bowl: 1.5 inches, 3.75 cm.
