This very rare spoon is modelled as a frying pan, unusually with a raised pierced gallery. The bowl is decorated with an oval band of prick dot engraving and the handle with various prick dot designs, below a heart shaped cartouche containing a set of contemporary initials. This is a scarce design and a similar form can be seen in "Caddy Spoons" by Captain John Norie, Plate 38, fig d.

Length: 2.45 inches, 6.13cm.
Width of the bowl: 1.65 inches, 4.13cm.
