The Runcible Spoon is modelled in the Kings Pattern and is double struck. The spoon is in excellecnt condition and is well marked. Runcible spoons from London are scarce, however to find a Newcastle example is very rare. The Runcible spoon was made famous in Edward Lears poem, The Owl & The Pussycat, published in 1871 and was used with pickles and hors doeuvres.
