The Salt Cellars are of an outstanding weight and are modelled in a shaped rectangular form, with tapering, baluster, sides decorated with flat fluting.  Each stands on four scroll feet, attached to the main body with very finely detailed acanthus foliate scroll mouldings.  The sides rise to an everted rim, decorated with Rococo shells, flanked by acanthus leaves, interspersed with anthemion motifs.  The sides are gilded and the front of the main body is engraved with a contemporary Crest. Each is very well marked on  the base and both are in outstanding condition, being of a very good weight.  This is a known Paul Storr design of cellar, however examples very seldom appear on the market.

Length: 4.5 inches, 11.25 cm.

Width: 3.5 inches, 8.75 cm.

Height: 2 inches, 5 cm.

Weight: 20 oz, the pair.
