A very unusual George III Heraldic Serving Slice made in Dublin by Peter Godfrey.

The Slice is modelled in the fiddle pattern with a curved square blade.  The centre is pierced and engraved with a contemporary Crest of a Pelican in her Piety surrounded by a garter cartouche engraved with the motto "De Tout Mon Coeur".  The blade is also engraved with prick dot bands and foliate flame designs where the handle meets the blade.  The top of the stem is engraved with a set of entwined script initials.  The Slice is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the reverse.  The Crest and Motto are those of Boileau of Tacolnestone Hall, County Norfolk.
