This quality bowl stands on a circular foot and the baluster main body is decorated with a wide band of lobing. The sides rise to a gadrooned band and incuse neck with everted rim. The two side handles are decorated with bound leaf capping and swirling foliate rosettes where they are attached to the main body. The interior is finely gilded and the front is also engraved with a contemporary Crest. This piece is in quite excellent condition and is very well marked in the foot. Burwash, either alone, or with Richard Sibley, was a quality silversmith working from premises at 14, Bartholomew Close.
