The Chamberstick displays a shaped circular base, with a raised, pleated, border decorated with gadrooning and scrolls. The central shaft is decorated with reeding and rises to a tulip shaped socket, with detachable nozzle, the border decorated in a similar manner to the base, with gadrooning and scrolls. This fine example has a scroll side handle, with oval, gadrooned, thumb piece. The conical extinguisher has a ball final and side clip which is decorated with leaf capping. The extinguisher and base are engraved with the Coronet of a Baron, above a set of contemporary script initials. The Chamberstick is in excellent condition, with a fine colour, and is fully marked on each section, with crisp hallmarks.
