This rare pair of Baskets which were almost certainly used for Sugar and Cream stand on a shaped pedestal foot decorated with reeding. The main body displays unusual shaped panelled sides and an everted shaped rim decorated with reeding. The interior of each basket is engraved with a band of pluming scrolls and flower heads on a scratch engraved ground. The interiors are finely gilded and the exterior is engraved with the contemporary Crest of a Martin and the script initials EM.



Height of Baskets: 3.25 & 4 inches respectively.

Length of Baskets: 5.5 & 7 inches respectively

Width of Baskets: 4.75 & 3.75 inches respectively
