A rare George III Neo Classical "Urn" Mustard Pot made in London in 1781 by Robert Hennell.

The Mustard Pot is modelled as a Neo Classical Urn and stands on a circular pedestal foot decorated with beading and prick dot bands. The vase shaped main body is pierced with bands of vitruvian scrolls and Neo Classical urns in ovals. The sides are also engraved with herring bone bands and medallions. The front displays an oval cartouche containing contemporary script initials. The shaped domed cover terminates in a cast bell finial and is decorated with beading and an outer prick dot band. This piece has a scroll side handle and blue glass liner. The Mustard is fully marked in the foot and with the Sterling mark in the cover. This example is in excellent condition.
