The Caddy Spoon is finely modelled as a peaked Jockey Cap. The peak is engraved with a double band of comma motifs, in sizes. The dome is engraved with prick dot bands and displays a central circular section with wriggle work border and simulated ribbons at the rear. The spoon is very well marked on the inside. A similar example, of the same date and by Joseph Taylor, is shown on the front cover and on plate 95, fig b, of Caddy Spoons by Captain John Norie. The Spoon is in excellent condition.
