This is most unusually modelled as a heart and was almost certainly a love token. This piece has a pull off cover, with corded edge. The sides and base, as well as the cover, are decorated with filigree scroll work. This piece is in excellent condition. Confit boxes were used to carry around tiny sweet confections, however this is only the second heart shaped filigree one which we have offered over the years.
