The Butter Spade has a beautiful traingular blade pierced with a fan of vertical pails and roundels. The blade is also decorated with prick dot bands and stylised foliate motifs. The silver section of the handle displays a bifurcated moulding where it is attached to the blade and the end displays a turned green stained section. The spade is in excellent condition and is very well marked on the reverse of the blade.
Length: 8.25 inches, 20.63 cm.
Width of the blade, at the widest point: 1.75 inches, 4.33cm.
