This very fine example is of an early date and has a deep circular bowl which is pierced with scroll work and tear drop motifs, centered by a central stylised floral motif. This example has two triangular cast handles pierced with intricate scroll work. The Bowl displays a full set of hallmarks and each handle is marked with the sterling mark. Strainers gained popularity from 1715, therefore this represents a good early example. This piece is in excellent condition, with a good colour.
