The Label was made in London in 1792 by John Rich from workshops at 14, Tottenham Court Road. As you will see from the images, the label is rectangular, with a slightly curved form, and displays an outer bright cut and prick dot border. The face is engraved with the very rare title of MALMZEY-MADEIRA, which is a very scarce title, but even rarer having the Malmzey spelt with a "Z". It would appear that this is not a recorded name in "Wine Labels 1730-2003", a Worldwide History. The Label is in exceptional condition and is very well marked on the reverse.
Length: 1.9 inches, 4.75 cm.
Width: 0.75 inches, 1.88 cm
