The die stamped label is of a very unusual design and is engraved for SHERRY. The border is unusually decorated with wheat ears, a lyre, satyr mask and wine cup. The border also displays grapes and vines, as well as the rose for England and the thistle for Scotland. This piece is in very crisp condition and is well marked on the reverse. An identical example, engraved for Madeira, is shown in Wine Labels 1730-2003, page 257.
