The label is one of the most beautiful, and rare, from the Hester Bateman workshops. This example has a shaped rectangular form and is beautifully pierced and chased with foliate scrolls, flower heads and shell details. The curved central banner is engraved with the title SHERRY. This piece is in most excellent condition and is marked on the reverse with the maker's mark, sterling mark and duty mark.
