The Salts Spoons have unusual raying shell bowls and Old English pattern stems which are engraved at the top with a set of contemporary initials. Each is very well marked on the reverse including the incuse King's Head Duty mark which enables us to date them to either 1784 or 1785, the only years when this design of punch was used. Salt Spoons from Newcastle are rare, especially a set of four, made by these scarce makers.
Length: 3.9 inches, 9.75cm
