A very rare George III Muffin Dish made in London in 1807 by William Frisbee.

The Dish is circular in form, with deep bowl and stepped border, rising to a gadrooned rim. The high domed cover is decorated with lobing and termiantes in a crossed branch, leaf capped, finial which sits on a petal shaped base. Both the cover and base are engraved with a contemporary Crest, below the Coronet of an Earl. The Dish is marked on both pieces and is in excellent condition. The work of William Frisbee is scarce, and always of the finest quality. This is no surprise as he was, for some time, in partnership with the greatest British silversmith of all time, this being Paul Storr.
Diameter of the base: 8 inches, 20cm.
Height, to the top of the finial: 4.2 inches, 10.5cm.
