The Wine Coaster is circular in form and the sides are decorated with alternate lobes and flutes. The everted rim is of a most unusual design with a wavy edge decorated with gadrooning interspersed with anthemion motifs flanked by acanthus foliage. The original wooden base is centred by a silver boss with reeded edge engraved with a contemporary Crest. The Coaster is in quite excellent condition and is very well marked. This is the first time we have seen this specific design from these famous workshops.
