The Cream Basket stands on a circular pedestal foot decorated with beading and vertical pails. The main body is pierced with Neo Gothic vertical pails decorated with drapery swags interspersed with medallions. The rim and handle are unusually pierced with pretty flower heads and ovals. The front also displays an oval cartouche engraved with a contemporary Crest. This piece is in excellent condition, is very well marked and has a blue glass liner. This is the first time we have seen a design with a pierced rim.
