The Mustard Pot is of rectangular form with cut corners, decorated with fluting.  The base and rim display reeded bands and the sides are engraved with floral and foliate designs, as well as prick dot bands.  The front displays a contemporary Crest, surrounded by a crossed branch cartouche.  The stepped domed cover is decorated with prick dot designs and terminates in a Classical urn finial.  In addition it displays an unusual tri-furcated thumbpiece.  This piece has a plain harp shaped handle and blue glass liner.  The Mustard Pot is in excellent condition and is fully marked on the base and with the sterling mark and maker's mark on the cover.
