The Tablespoon is modelled in the Hanoverian Pattern with a rat tail on the reverse of the bowl. The top of the stem is engraved with a contemporary Armorial surrounded by a scroll cartouche. The Arms are those of a widow and are those of Whorwood impaling Bray for Thomas Whorwood ( 1664-1706 ), Lord of the Manors of Headington and Holton in Oxfordshire. He married Jane Bray, daughter of Sir Reginald Bray of Barrington Park in Gloucestershire. Whorwood served as Sheriff of Oxfordshire 1703=1704. The Spoon has a good bowl and excellent colour.
