This exceptionally fine silver gilt Vinaigrette is unusually cast and is of a very good weight. The outer rim is chased with flower heads and scrolls and the front and reverse displays a wide circular border of trailing vines and grapes around an engine turned centre. This piece opens up to reveal a pretty hinged grille pierced and engraved with a band of feathery scrolls around a central flower head, This piece has its original chased suspensory ring. The Vinaigrette is in exceptional condition and is very well marked.Diameter: 1.5 inches, 3.75cm.
