Robert Gray & Sons of Glasgow. A very rare George IV Campaign Cheese Scoop made in Glasgow in 1825 by Robert Gray & Sons.
267673
The Scoop is of an unusual slender form and is modelled in the rare interpretation of Kings pattern which Robert Gray was famous for. This piece is very well marked and the top of the stem is engraved with a family Crest. This very rare piece was most probably part of a travelling canteen or military campaign set and examples, especially Scottish ones, are very rare.
