Queen Anne. A very unusual Britannia Standard Wine Taster made in London in 1702 by Richard Bigge.

The main body stands on a ring foot and is circular in form. The sides are decorated with a matted finish which was first seen during the reign of Charles II, however examples are very rare. This example has a thread band by the rim and reeded scroll handles. The Wine Taster is in excellent condition and is fully marked on the side.
