QUEEN ANNE. A fine Britannia Standard Porringer made in London in 1705 by John Gibbon.

The Porringer is of an unusual in-between size and is decorated with a band of swirling flutes and lobes. The upper section displays an unusual band of roundels flanked on both sides by stylised foliate motifs. This example has two plain scroll handles and is engraved on the front and the base with two sets of contemporary initials. The Porringer is very well marked and is in excellent condition.
