These very unusual Salt Cellars were made in the workshops of the exceptional, but scarce, silversmith, Peter Podio, whose work is always of innovative design and the finest quality. Each piece stands on a square pedestal foot, with reeded oval above. The boat shaped main body also displays a reeded rim, and each is engraved with a contemporary Crest. The loop handles, display a very unusual beaded oval where they are attached to the rim. This shows the innovate design, which we refer to. The interiors display original pale gilding and both are very well marked in the foot.
