NATHANIEL MILLS. A very fine William IV Silver Gilt Vinaigrette made in Birmingham in 1834 by Nathaniel Mills.

This is a design which was peculiar to the workshops of Nathaniel Mills. The Vinaigrette is narrow rectangular in form with rounded ends. Both the cover, base and sides are decorated with engine turning and the front side displays a cast floral and foliate thumb piece. The interior has exceptional gilding and a grille pierced and engraved with pluming scrolls. The box is in excellent condition and is very well marked. A rare design from the Mills workshops.
