HESTER BATEMAN. A very rare George III Wine Label made in London circa 1775 by Hester Bateman.

This rare design is of the crescent form, with a border pierced and engraved with triangular motifs. The label is incised for MADEIRA and the face is engraved with bright cut designs and prick dot scrolls. The reverse is well marked with the makers mark and sterling mark.
