HESTER BATEMAN. A rare and very fine George III Sauce Ladle made in London in 1778 by Hester Bateman.


The Sauce Ladle has a beautiful and unusual swirling shell bowl. The Old English Pattern stem is decorated with a feather edge border and the top is engraved with a set of contemporary script initials. The Ladle is in excellent condition and is very well marked.
