This very rare Combination Box is modelled in the pocket curved form.  The hinged cover displays a serpentine shaped thumb piece and is engraved with a contemporary Crest, above the script initials, CC.  Most unusually, is that there is a tubular section inside and a rear hinged opening for keeping the toothpicks safe.  This is the first time we have ever seen this type of box which leads us to think that it may well have been a special commission.  The interior is very well marked and finely gilded.

Length: 2.5 inches.
