EDINBURGH. A rare George III Pocket Snuff Box made by Robert Fraser of Edinburgh circa 1820.

This rare box is broad rectangular in form with plain base and sides decorated with reeding. The hinged cover is inset with a large oval Scottish agate and the interior displays exceptional gilding. The base is marked three times with RF, in a square punch, for Robert Fraser of Edinburgh. This box is in excellent condition.
