This beautiful piece has a mother of pearl handle decorated with reeded silver bands. The steel end is attached to the handle by a silver shaft engraved with prick dot designs and this piece, unusually, also has a silver protective cover which screws in place to protect the end. This is engraved with attractive prick dot designs and foliate motifs. A rare, beautiful piece, in excellent condition. Marked with JW for Joseph Willmore, Birmingham, circa 1800.
