The Wine Taster stands on a narrow circular foot and has slightly baluster sides rising to an everted rim. The sides are also decorated with a wide band of swirling flutes below a band of stylised foliate motifs. This example has wirework scroll handles and is fully marked in the bowl. The maker's mark is contained within a distinctive heart shaped punch and is shown on page 150 of Jackson's "Silver & Gold Marks.".
Height: 0.9 inches, 2.25cm.
Diameter at the rim: 1.6 inches, 4cm.
Length, across the handles: 2.75 inches, 6.88cm.
