An unusually tiny George III Vinaigrette modelled as a satchel. Made in Birmingham in 1817 by Lea & Clark.
230808
The Vinaigrette is modelled as a satchel and is one of the smallest we have offered and may have been for the use of a child. The cover is engraved with a buckle and straps to simulate a satchel and the base with trellis work. The interior is finely gilded and the grille is plainly pierced with diamond motifs. This piece is in excellent condition and is well marked.
