The Salts are broad rectangular in form, with incuse corners, and each stand on four ball feet. The rims are decorated with gadrooning, as are the shaped, pierced out, carrying handles. Both the front and the reverse are engraved with a contemporary Crest, issuing from the Coronet of a Duke. The Salts are in excellent condition and have original gilded interiors.
