An unusual pair of George II Hanoverian pattern Salt Shovels made in London circa 1755 by William Watkins.

The Salt Shovels are modelled in the Hanoverian pattern and are engraved at the top of the stems with a contemporary Crest. The wide bowls are fluted to simulate a shell. Each is marked on the stem twice with the makers mark of William Watkins.
