An unusual George IV 'Handbag' Vinaigrette made in Birmingham in 1821 by Lawrence & Company.

This unusual Vinaigrette is realistically modelled as a handbag and is engraved all over with diamond pattern and displays a vacant oval cartouche. This piece has arched twisted handles and opens up to reveal a finely gilded interior and grille pierced and engraved with pluming scrolls and fruit. This piece is in excellent condition and is very well marked inside.
