202300
The Vinaigrette is finely modelled as a handbag and is engraved on the front and reverse with diamond designs surrounded by a raised cast band of floral and foliate motifs. The sides are engraved with twisted ropework designs and the front displays a rectangular cartouche engraved with Hannah. The interior is finely gilded and displays a grille pierced and engraved with pluming scrolls and a flower head. This piece is in excellent condition and is very well marked. The Vinaigrette is of a larger size than usually found and is one of the finest handbag examples we have offered over the years. This piece has a suspensory chain attached to the handles.
