An unusual George III Silver Gilt Vinaigrette made in London in 1805 by Joseph Ash
174775
The silver gilt Vinaigrette is broad rectangular in form and is engraved on the cover and base with an outer border of Greek Key designs surrounding a panel of foliate motifs and a central flower head. Most unusually the interior grille has been pierced and engraved in the same design as this central panel - a feature which is rarely seen with Vinaigrettes. The interior is finely gilded and well marked.
